Cathy has created these custom embroidery designs for this class from Hilda Cooper's hand drawings. Learn a different embroidery technique on your embroidery machine with each block. The finished quilt is 69" x 72".
This class is in the store, 2 hours per class, for a total of 14 classes. Cost $350.00 which includes the pattern. A list of materials is available and we would be happy to help you put it together!
This project contains 68 designs designed for stitching on HUSQVARNA VIKING® embroidery machines, and the designs are sized to fit their 260x200mm and 360x200mm hoops.

| Requirements: | Student requires an embroidery machine which will take hoops for designs sized 200x260 mm, 200x360 mm, and 80x80 mm. Fabrics Background fabric: 1. 5 m of 60” muslin (2 m of 42” fabric) Backing fabric: 3 m or of 60” muslin (4 m of 42” fabric) 2 m of Quilters Dream Select cotton quilt batting 92” wide 1 fat quarter (water coloured for pond) ¼ m or fat quarter pond sashing 1 m sashing fabric front or 4 fat quarters 1 m outer sashing fabric front 1 m border each of two different fabrics front (picket fence) 1 m binding fabric 18”x18” organza or tulle, to cover water (optional) Pastel coloured polyester voile or organza for water lilies Fabric scraps to appliqué: o Light green o Light orange o Medium green o Light red o Dark green o Dark Red o Light purple o Light blue o Dark purple o Dark blue o Light yellow o Pink o Dark yellow Threads Cotton quilting thread, 40 or 50 wt, matching background fabric for piecing Various threads to match appliqué fabrics – can be rayon, cotton or metallic 60 wt bobbin thread for design stitching Thread quilting, top and bobbin: may be cotton or rayon, solid or variegated 30 or 12 wt thread, colours green and yellow for vintage blocks plus flower colour.
